The Pegasus price list names the W600P for this part.

Springs in a sewing machine return levers and hold tensions and pressures at a set value. They lose force over time, and a weak spring changes how the mechanism around it behaves.

Details

Pegasus part number: 240242000009

Part name: Coil Spring

Short form of the number: 2402420

Type: Springs

Listed by Pegasus for: W600P

Pegasus parts catalogues that list this part: W3664P; W600P; W600PC; UT / W3600P, W600PC, WX600P and 3 more

When to replace it

A setting no longer holds or the movement feels weak

Rattling or buzzing from the spring area while the machine runs

Tension or pressure drifts even after adjustment

Turn the handwheel by hand after fitting and check that the spring does not rub the frame, a cover or a neighboring part.

Choosing the right part

On a flat or leaf spring, the curve and the bend positions count as much as the length, so check the shape against the old spring.
