This is a part of the automatic thread trimming mechanism. In the official JUKI parts list it appears for LK series machines.

After the last stitch the trimmer cuts the threads (on a lockstitch machine, the needle thread and the bobbin thread) and clears the thread ends so that sewing can start cleanly again. Hooks, knives, wipers and their drives have to work in step, and wear in one of them affects the whole cycle. The wiper moves the cut needle thread end out of the way after trimming.

Details

JUKI part number: 40010458

Part name in the JUKI catalog: Wiper Connecting Plate

Type: Thread Trimmer Parts

Listed in 6 model groups of the official JUKI parts list

Fits these JUKI machines

Part 40010458 is used on these JUKI machines: LK-1900C; LK-1900BN Series; LK-1900AN Series; LK-1900B Series; LK-1900S Series; LK-1900A.

The list follows the official JUKI WebPartsList.
