The same part number is used across many Kansai Special machine families, for example FX, DFB and BX.

When the fabric pushes the needle sideways, the needle presses on the guard and can rub a groove into it over time. Once the groove is deep, the guard no longer holds the needle in line, so it is worth checking at every needle change.

Details

Kansai Special part number: 19-4160-0

Part name: Needle Guard

Short form of the number: 19-416

Type: Needle Clamps & Guards

Kansai Special parts books that list this part: FX, DFB, BX, NB

Kansai Special machines on our site from these parts books: Kansai Special FX-4404P-UTC, Kansai Special FX-4412P, Kansai Special FX-4412P-UTC, Kansai Special FX-4418P and Kansai Special FX-4425PW.

Choosing the right part

Two guards can look alike and still differ in the shape of the edge next to the needle and in the position of the mounting holes.
