A cover that has sagged or been bent can touch a pulley, a lever or a thread guide, and the rubbing wears both parts and adds noise.

Details

Kansai Special part number: 21-7840-0

Part name: Front Cover Plate

Short form of the number: 21-784

Type: Covers & Plates

Kansai Special parts books that list this part: DVK/BK, VW, PX

Kansai Special machines with a page on our site, from the same parts books: Kansai Special PX-302-4W.

When to replace it

Oil leaks, or dirt getting into the mechanism

The cover or plate is cracked, bent or does not close properly

A screw hole is stretched, cracked or stripped, so the screw no longer holds

Clean the mating surface and the screw holes before you fit the cover.
