It is the outer plate, cover or guard that closes off one section of the head, arm or bed. Kansai Special shows it in the parts books for NFS and SQ.

Because covers come off often during service, their screw holes, edges and corners take a lot of handling. A stretched screw hole or a bent corner is enough to stop a cover from sitting flush and holding its screws.

Details

Kansai Special part number: 27-6450-0

Part name: Cover

Short form of the number: 27-645

Type: Covers & Plates

Kansai Special parts books that list this part: NFS, SQ

From these parts books, our site has pages for these Kansai Special machines: Kansai Special NFS-6604GFMH-H-DD.

When to replace it

A screw hole is stretched, cracked or stripped, so the screw no longer holds

Rattling or vibration from a loose cover, plate or guard

Bright rubbing marks where the cover touches a moving part

Fit all the screws and seals that belong to it and make sure the cover sits flush before you run the machine.

Choosing the right part

If the name says Assembly, the cover comes as a ready unit with its fitted parts.
