JUKI DSC-246-70B Industrial 1-Needle Cylinder-Bed Unison-Feed Lockstitch with Double-Capacity Hook & Automatic Thread Trimmer (SC-921C Control Box, CP-18C Operation Panel, M51N Servomotor)

The JUKI DSC-246-70B is a cylinder-bed, unison-feed lockstitch machine built for demanding tubular leather work — bags, footwear and other applications where seams must be strong and sharp. A 50 mm cylinder bed and unison feed give operators precise control on three-dimensional assemblies, while the horizontal-axis double-capacity hook supports heavier thread and longer runs with fewer bobbin changes. With 2,200 stitches/minute maximum speed and automatic thread trimming, it delivers faster cycles and consistently refined seam finish.

What Sets the DSC-246-70B Apart

  • Double-Capacity Hook for Longer Runs
The platform uses a horizontal-axis full-rotary double-capacity hook that holds roughly twice as much thread as a standard hook, reducing bobbin-change interruptions and supporting higher hourly output on long seams.

  • Automatic Thread Trimmer
A horizontal-cutting mechanism handles a wide range of thread counts, from fine to heavy. Threads are cut cleanly at the end of the seam, this minimizes manual snipping, keeps operators in rhythm and helps workstations stay tidy on high-volume runs.

  • Cylinder-Bed Geometry for Tight, Tubular Work
A 50 mm cylinder bed and 264 mm clearance from needle to arm give operators room to manoeuvre around gussets and shaped panels, while still keeping the work close enough to the needle for accurate control on small radii.
  • Unison Feed for Aligned Seams on 3D Work
A unison-feed mechanism moves presser foot, walking foot and feed dog together, helping layers track as one over thickness changes and around curves — important for visible seams on bags, footwear and other structured products.
  • One-Touch Reverse Feed for Clean Backtacks
Reverse feed is engaged by a quick tap on the one-touch button, making it easy to secure seam ends while focusing on the curve; if the job calls for more clearance, the button simply shifts up so it doesn’t interfere with handling.

Included Components

  • M51N High-Torque AC Servomotor
750 W servomotor, delivering strong cloth-penetrating force and high-speed sewing performance across a wide range of materials — from general fabrics up to heavy-weight applications.
  • SC-921C Control Box
New-generation JUKI control box, offering quick speed response, low vibration and low noise. An energy-saving idle mode reduces power consumption when the machine is not sewing, while improved resistance to voltage fluctuations and electrical noise helps keep stitch quality stable across the shift.
  • CP-18C Operation Panel
A slim, easy-to-reach panel that lets supervisors and operators set key sewing parameters and use production-support functions (output control, operation measuring, bobbin counter) directly at the machine.

How It Improves Your Workflow

  • Higher Output on Long Runs
The double-capacity hook carries roughly twice the thread and the automatic trimmer cuts heavy counts cleanly at seam end, minimizing bobbin changes and manual snips so operators can sew with fewer interruptions.

  • More Consistent Quality on Visible Seams
Unison feed keeps all three feeding elements in sync, while the 50 mm cylinder and one-touch reverse give precise control on curves and backtacks — helping visible bag and footwear seams look uniform across operators and shifts.

  • Smoother Handling of Bulky 3D Work
Cylinder-bed geometry with 264 mm arm clearance and the M51N high-torque servomotor’s strong penetration give operators room and power to guide gussets, corners and leather stacks steadily, turning complex jobs into repeatable operations.

  • Clearer View of Each Head’s Output
The CP-18C panel puts key settings plus output, operation time and bobbin count functions at the machine, making it easier to see how each head is running and to keep daily production on track.

High-Capacity Hook for Fewer Stops
The horizontal-axis double-capacity hook carries about twice the thread of a standard hook, so bobbins last longer and operators make fewer stops on long seams.

Automatic Thread Trimming
The horizontal cutter neatly trims fine through heavy threads at the end of the seam, cutting down on manual snipping and helping operators keep a steady pace on repeat operations.

Compact Cylinder Bed for Confident Tubular Work
A 50 mm cylinder and 264 mm from needle to arm give enough space to turn bags, gussets and shaped panels, while keeping the stitch area close for accurate control on tight curves.

Unison Feeding That Keeps Layers Aligned
Presser foot, walking foot and feed dog move together, so multiple layers travel as one over thickness changes and around corners, supporting clean, even seams on structured products.

One-Touch Reverse with Adjustable Clearance
Reverse is activated with a single button tap, making backtacks quick and consistent; when extra room is needed around bulky work, the button can be moved up so it stays clear of the handling area.
