How It Works
Juki MB-1800A/BR10
Versatile Operation Modes
These machines offer three different operation modes, making them suitable for a small-lot production system:
- Automatic Button Feeding Mode: The machine continuously feeds buttons from the feeder bowl, ideal for high-volume production.
- Non-Feed Mode: The operator manually places each button in the sewing position, allowing for greater control and customization.
- Small-Lot Sewing Mode: The operator sets buttons for one garment (five or six buttons) in advance, after which the buttons are automatically and continuously fed to the sewing position. This mode is perfect for small-lot production, providing flexibility and efficiency.
By selecting the appropriate operation mode, these machines can seamlessly adapt to various production needs.
Versatile Stitching Capabilities
These machines can independently sew various stitching shapes, such as U-shaped, X-shaped, and Z-shaped stitching. With 55 different stitching patterns available as standard, the machines also allow for adjustments to buttonhole intervals and the number of stitches via the operation panel. This versatility supports a wide range of button specifications, reducing costs associated with specification changes and simplifying the operator's task of adapting the machine to different specifications. Custom patterns can be created using the PGM-20 and utilized on the sewing machine.
Reduced Thread Lengths
Thread trimming is performed at the optimal position by adjusting the button position relative to the needle entry of the last stitch. This process shortens the remaining thread on the material to approximately 3.5 mm.
Oil-Free Operation
The dry-head, non-lubricating machine head eliminates the need for oil, preventing oil stains on the sewing product.
High-Quality Button Sewing
These machines use a stitching pattern with the tying stitch only at the final stitch, optimizing single thread chain stitching for beautiful seams on the underside of the material. The reduced number of mechanical parts minimizes issues such as needle and button breakage due to excessive play in the feed.
Thread-Fray-Prevention Function
Standard on these machines is a solenoid-operated, thread-tension-changeover “thread-fray-prevention function.” Designed to use a long needle (TQ×7), this function is suitable for sewing shank buttons and can be toggled on or off as required.
Outstanding Productivity
Running at a maximum sewing speed of 1,800 rpm, these machines feature a direct-drive system supported by a compact AC servomotor for excellent stopping accuracy and responsiveness. Combined, these features reduce machine time by 10% or more compared to conventional models. Additionally, the single-thread, chainstitch button sewing machine eliminates the need for bobbin thread changes.
Enhanced Maintainability and Operability
The elimination of mechanical structures such as the stop-motion mechanism and feed cam reduces vibration and noise, enhancing operability and reducing maintenance needs. The foot pedal requires less pressure, allowing for more rhythmic and less fatiguing operation.
