• High-Speed Operation: The AP-876 performs pocket setting processes at an impressive rate of 9.9 seconds per pocket, making it 7.1 times more productive than general-purpose machines. The machine can fold the next pocket and place it on the garment body while still sewing the current pocket. This feature, along with the high-speed 1-needle lockstitch zigzag stitch machine head and an automatic thread trimmer, achieves a maximum sewing speed of 4,000 sti/min. The AP-876 reduces cycle time by 5% compared to the AVP-875 model.

Reduction in Facilities and Operators

• Automation: The AP-876 fully automates the pocket setting process, which would otherwise require eight facilities and eight operators to achieve the same daily production. The automated processes include folding the hip pocket with a steam iron, sewing the pocket to the back with 1-needle lockstitch machines with automatic thread trimmers, and bartacking the hip pocket edge with a bartacking machine.

• Seam Quality: The presser plate clamps the pocket cloth evenly, preventing it from flopping. Juki's unique hook-driving-shaft offset mechanism ensures beautiful and consistent seams while preventing stitch skipping or thread breakage.

User-Friendly Operation Panel

• Large Color LCD Touch Panel (IP-420): The AP-876 uses the IP-420 operation panel with a large color liquid crystal display, allowing easy entry and modification of sewing data. The panel supports USB, making it compatible with various USB thumb drives and media (SD Card, CompactFlash, Smart Media, Floppy disks).
• Programming Software (PM-1 Ver.3): The PM-1 programming software, sold separately, allows for detailed input, checking, and correction of sewing data.

Enhanced Functionality

• Support for Overalls: The machine's setting table has a space at the back to support pocket setting on items like overalls, which require a large distance from the machine arm to the needle.
• Active Tension: The machine features an active tension needle thread tension controller, allowing for pinpoint adjustments during sewing. Data on thread tension settings can be entered through the operation panel on a stitch-by-stitch basis, reducing setup time when changing material thickness.
