This versatile machine is capable of sewing flat buttons, shank buttons, marble buttons, and stay buttons (counter buttons). The stay button sewing capability significantly extends the application range of the AMB-289. Sewing methods and shapes can be easily reset via the operation panel. Combining the independent-drive needle-throwing method with the Y-feed on the body side and X-Y feed on the button-sewing side, the AMB-289 can handle patterns with varying numbers of buttonholes, such as four-holed front buttons and two-holed stay buttons.

Increased Productivity The cycle time has been significantly reduced, boosting productivity. Compared to manual button sewing, the AMB-289 achieves productivity up to five times higher.

Cycle Sewing The machine sews buttons on garments like double-breast suits continuously, handling different button types in a single cycle. The cycle sewing data, including the number of buttons, button locations, and sewing order, can be set and edited with a graphical display on the operation panel. The button loader can feed two types of buttons in one sewing cycle.

Advanced Operation Panel The AMB-289 features the IP-420D touch-sensitive LCD color panel, providing clear graphical displays for easy setting or modification of sewing data. The machine supports data storage and transfer using CompactFlash™ cards, USB flash drives, and various other media, allowing data sharing across machines in different factories.

Enhanced Neck-Wrapping Quality The machine finishes four-holed buttons with a hand-stitched appearance (V-shape stitching), resulting in neat seams and stable button placement. Neck-wrap data can be finely adjusted through the operation panel, ensuring consistent quality. The neck-wrapping height is adjustable up to 10mm.

Exclusive Active Tension System The electronic thread tension control system enhances responsiveness and allows delicate tension settings for different fabrics. Thread tensions for button sewing and neck wrapping can be set separately, with sewing conditions stored in memory for pattern-specific reproduction.

Improved Seam Quality The remaining needle thread length is adjustable to prevent thread slipping at the start of sewing. The machine uses general-purpose cotton and spun threads, supporting a wide range of thread counts. It features a thread-trimming position to minimize thread length on the material and a thread-fray prevention function for strong knots.

Reduced Oil Stains, Vibration, and Noise The machine requires no lubrication, significantly reducing oil stains on sewn garments. The needle-throwing mechanism minimizes vibration and noise during neck-wrapping.

Standard Button Loader The AMB-289 includes a button feeder for overlapping-style work, with the button-delivery position adjustable via the operation panel. The machine is also equipped with LED lighting for a brighter, longer-lasting sewing area.

Convenient Features A hand pulley on the top of the head allows easy checking of the needle entry point. The button loader gauge for the conventional model is compatible with the AMB-289, and the machine requires dedicated set pins for certain button types (optional).

Safety Design The machine will not start without buttons set on the button chuck. If the machine head tilts while powered on, the safety switch automatically shuts down the machine, even when the pedal or knee switch is pressed.
