Increased Productivity

• High-Speed Machine Head: The APW-895NE features a high-speed machine head capable of sewing at a maximum speed of 3,000 stitches per minute (sti/min). Additionally, the faster movement of the clamp foot (jump and forwarding) contributes to shorter machine time, thereby increasing productivity.

Versatile Pocket Sewing

• Straight Pockets (with Flaps): The APW-895N/896N models support the sewing of straight pockets with flaps on suits, jackets, and pants. Double-/single-welt sewing can be easily switched via the operation panel. The adjustable sewing length range has been increased from a minimum of 18mm to a maximum of 220mm.
• Slanted Pockets: The APW-896N model, in addition to the features of the APW-895N, supports the sewing of slanted pockets with slanted flaps. It is equipped with the world's first computer-controlled sidewise cutting position of the corner knives, allowing easy adjustments through the panel.

Efficient Setup Changes

• Quick Gauge Change Mechanism: The APW-895NE includes a simple gauge changing mechanism, allowing the hook driving shaft saddle position to be adjusted from the top of the bed without tilting the machine head. This reduces the needle gauge changing time to less than half that required by conventional machines. The position of the folding plate and needle remains unchanged when switching between double-/single-welt sewing, eliminating the need for folding plate adjustments.
• Micro-Adjusting Function: The machine comes with a micro-adjusting function for the clamp foot position, enabling both accurate and quick adjustments of the welting width.

User-Friendly Interface

• Large Color LCD Touch Panel (IP-420): The machine features a highly visible color LCD touch panel for intuitive operation. The graphic display and pictogram buttons simplify basic operations, and guidance messages are available in multiple languages.

External Media Compatibility

• Enhanced Memory Storage: The main body of the machine is USB-ready and compatible with various media types, including SD, CF, and SM cards, through a USB thumb device and card reader. This allows for easy data input/output and storage management.

Improved Knife Performance

• Sharp Center Knife: The center knife, driven by an independently controlled stepping motor, remains unaffected by sewing speed and cuts sharply and cleanly. The improved knife shape prevents bending and ensures increased sharpness, even with elastic materials.
• Adjustable Corner Knives: The corner knives can be easily adjusted and replaced. The slim corner knife cover helps reduce material thrusting, ensuring accurate material cutting.

Stacker Options

• Newly Developed Stacker: Two types of stackers are available: the clamp bar stacker (SP-46N) and the roller stacker (SP-47N). These stackers handle materials with a minimum distance of 250mm from the edge to the pocket. A standard stacking sensor prevents stacking errors.

Innovative Cutting Adjustments

• Corner-Knife Cutting Adjustment: The machine allows for fine adjustments of the corner knife cutting position in 0.1mm steps through the operation panel. This computer-controlled mechanism, with independent right- and left-blade lifting/lowering, reduces adjustment time and ensures high-quality welting.

Enhanced Sewing Quality

• Equal Stitch-Length Backtacking: The machine includes a function to equalize the right and left backtack stitch length for slanted pockets, improving backtack seam quality.
• Automatic Left-Flap Angle Detection: Standard on the machine, this function uses sensors to detect the flap angle and adjust the sewing start/end position for left flaps. This ensures parallel stitching for differences less than 0.5mm.
