The Serkon MJ1 Master Jeans is purpose-built for spreading heavy-weight woven fabrics at volume without the tension distortion and edge drift. With 770 lbs (350 kg) roll capacity, it handles denim, canvas, and upholstery fabric, while four-wheel drive keeps the machine stable. Tension-free spreading and automatic edge alignment hold every ply flat and in register through the full stack, regardless of how stiff or dense the material is. Machine position, speed, tension, and fabric feed are all managed through an integrated control system from a single point on the operator platform. At the end of every spread, the lay is flat, the edges are aligned, and the output is exactly what the cutting plan requires.

The electronic edge control system monitors and corrects fabric edge position continuously, responding to variable speed and the behavior of heavy, stiff material as it feeds off the roll, so every layer is placed to the same line.

• Dynamic Tension Control and Adjustable Spreading Speed

The intelligent feed control system monitors fabric tension in real time and adjusts the feed in response. Speed is set independently for forward and backward travel, and programmable acceleration and deceleration at table ends keep transitions smooth.

• Spreading Configuration Versatility — Standard and Zigzag Modes

Standard spreading with transversal cutting and zigzag spreading with front and rear catchers are both available — ply orientation can be set to the order requirement. The machine is delivered as standard with an automatic end cutter and movable catcher. Zigzag equipment, fixed catcher, flat-fold attachment for fabric stored folded on a pallet, and tubular unit are available as options.

• Integrated Cutting Unit for Clean and Fast End Cut 

An automatic rotary blade cutting unit is included as standard. As layers accumulate, the unit adjusts its height automatically — end cuts are precise at up to 250 mm spread height.

• Programmable Spread Control — Length, End Allowance, and Defect Management

Lay length, end allowance, ply count, speed, and tension parameters are configured and stored in the control system. The machine cuts to the specification on every ply. When a defect appears on the roll, programmable shifting points allow the operator to cut around it and resume without restarting the cycle — material loss at defect locations is kept to a minimum.

• Complete Operator Control From a Single Platform Position

The multi-function throttle controls machine movement and spreading start/stop, an encoder reports the machine's current position on the table continuously, and spread length is displayed on the panel. The operator has full visibility and control over the lay without leaving the platform.

• Automatic Self-Test, Safety Photocells, and Emergency Stops

At each startup, the machine runs an automatic self-test across all systems — issues surface before the spread begins. Two photocells monitor front and rear zones during operation, stopping the machine on obstacle detection. Quick-Stop emergency switches on both sides further improve safety of operation.
