The Serkon MN1 Mini Master replaces manual spreading with a single-operator automated process — resolving the tension distortion, edge drift, and length inconsistency that manual layering introduces across a production run. The cradle feed system handles wide range of woven and knit materials, including high-stretch, in roll or flat-folded form, and delivers tension-free spreading with edges aligned automatically on every ply. With 328 feet per minute maximum spreading speed, the machine keeps the cutting room supplied without becoming the bottleneck. The easy-to-navigate touchscreen stores up to 50 fabric setup files, keeping repeat jobs fast to configure and consistent to run. The result is a cutting room where lays are built to the same standard — in tension, alignment, and length — regardless of the material type or the operator at the controls.

The IFS measures fabric tension dynamically during spreading and adjusts feeding in response. Spreading speed is independently adjustable for forward and backward travel, with a Save Time function that optimizes return speed and reduces the non-productive portion of each cycle.

The electronic edge control system monitors and corrects fabric edge position continuously, so every layer lands in the same position. Edge misalignment — one of the primary causes of cutting waste and pattern deviation — is removed from the process.

Standard spreading with transversal cutting and zigzag spreading with front and end catchers are both available. The machine inverts between face-up and face-down spreading, giving the facility full control over ply orientation for any fabric or cutting plan.

The 5.7" LG touchscreen presents a graphical interface designed to be fast to learn and easy to use at any experience level. Up to 50 fabric setup files can be stored and recalled for repeat jobs — parameters are retrieved rather than re-entered, keeping setup time on familiar fabrics to a minimum. Password protection keeps settings locked to authorized personnel.

• Programmable Lay Management — Length, End Allowance, and Fault Handling

Spreading length, end allowance, ply count, tension settings, and zigzag or one-way selection are set and stored in the control system. When a defect appears on the roll, programmable shifting points allow the operator to cut around it and continue the spread without restarting the cycle.

• Safe and Ergonomic Operation — Platform and Safety System

Two safety photocells monitor the front and rear of the machine during operation, stopping the machine automatically if a person or obstacle enters either zone. The movable operator platform travels alongside the table for the full length of the spread, giving the operator consistent visibility and control throughout the run. Individual sensors can be disabled from the control panel when the process requires it.
