The Serkon MT1 Master is configured for cutting rooms running sustained, high-volume spreading operations across woven, knit, elastic, and tubular knit materials. Fabric rolls up to 440 lbs (200 kg) load and unload via electric cradle tilt, reducing the physical effort of handling large industrial rolls. Four-wheel drive keeps the machine tracking accurately across the full table length regardless of fabric weight or ply count. Tension-free spreading and automatic edge alignment ensure every layer is placed correctly — at up to 100 meters per minute, without the inconsistency that manual layering introduces at scale. The operator has full visibility and control over the spread — machine position, speed, tension, and fabric feed all managed through an integrated control system that stores up to 50 setup files for fast recall on repeat orders. The electronic edge control system monitors and corrects fabric edge position continuously, responding to variable speed throughout the spread. Layer after layer lands in register — edge drift and the cutting waste it causes are removed from the process.

• Dynamic Tension Control and Adjustable Spreading Speed

The intelligent fabric feeding system measures material tension dynamically during spreading and adjusts feeding in response, giving the operator direct control over how the material is handled across the full run. Spreading speed is independently adjustable for forward and backward travel, with programmable acceleration and deceleration at the extreme table positions for smooth transitions at each end of the marker.

• Spreading Configuration Versatility — Standard and Zigzag Modes

Standard spreading with transversal cutting and zigzag spreading with front and end catchers are both available. The machine inverts between face-up and face-down spreading, giving the cutting room full control over ply orientation for any fabric or cutting plan. The Serkon MT1 Master is supplied as standard with an automatic end cutter and movable front catcher. Zigzag equipment, rear catcher, flat-fold attachment and tubular unit are available as optional attachments.

An automatic rotary blade cutting unit is included as standard, with automatic adjustment to the current spread height as layers accumulate.

• Centralized Control and Fast Setup via Touchscreen

The 5.7" LG touchscreen gives operators direct control over all key spreading parameters from a simplified graphical interface designed for any experience level. Up to 50 fabric setup files can be stored and recalled for repeat jobs, with password protection keeping settings locked to authorized personnel.

• Lay Parameters Programmed and Stored — Length, Allowance, and Fault Management

Ply count, spreading length, end allowance, speed, tension settings, and zigzag or one-way selection are all configurable and stored as part of the fabric profile. When a defect appears on the roll, programmable shifting points allow the operator to cut around it and continue the spread without restarting the cycle.

• Encoder Position Tracking — Machine Location Known at All Times

An encoder continuously reports the machine's current position on the table to the control panel. The operator always knows exactly where the spreader is on the marker — critical on long tables and multi-section lays.

The operator platform travels the full length of the table alongside the machine, keeping the operator positioned at the spread point throughout the run.

The machine runs an automatic self-test on each startup or on operator request, checking the state of all systems before the spread begins. Issues are identified before production starts, not during it.

• Built-In Safety System — Emergency Stops and Obstacle Detection

Two safety photocells monitor the front and rear of the machine, stopping it automatically if a person or obstacle enters either zone. Quick-Stop emergency switches on both sides of the machine provide immediate manual shutdown.
