The Serkon ES1 covers the full inspection cycle for stretch knitted fabrics — reviewing, rewinding, and measuring — with a tension control unit that keeps the material stable and UV and white fluorescent illumination that gives the operator clear visibility of faults across the material width. The machine handles fabric arriving in roll or flat-fold form and can output it in either of those formats — all four combinations managed in one station. Length is recorded against actual fabric movement by electronic encoder, providing precise measurement.   The Serkon ES1 is designed for reviewing, rewinding, and length measurement of stretch knitted fabrics — with an integrated tension control unit keeping the material stable throughout. The machine handles fabric widths from 200 to 320 cm and roll weights up to 330 lbs (150 kg).

• Four Operating Modes — Roll and Flat-Fold in Any Combination
  The machine accepts fabric in both roll and flat-fold form and outputs it in either format:
  — roll to roll;
  — flat fold to flat fold;
  — roll to flat fold;
  — flat fold to roll.

• Combined UV and White Fluorescent Illumination — Full Spectrum Fault Detection
  Upper UV lighting and a lower white fluorescent panel illuminate the fabric from both sides during inspection. UV light reveals fault types that white light alone does not show clearly — together they give the operator maximum visibility across the fabric width.

• Natural Glass Surface — No Static Buildup 
  The inspection surface is made of natural glass, which prevents static charge from building up during rewinding — a particular concern on synthetic stretch fabrics.

• Helix-Shaped Spiral Reels — Flat, Straight Fabric Throughout the Process
  Reels with helix-shaped spirals push fabric outward from center to edges continuously during rewinding, preventing ruffling and rolling and keeping the fabric straight and flat from start to finish.

• Accurate Encoder-Based Length Measurement 
  As the fabric passes through the machine, large reels turn with it and an electronic encoder measures the precise length reviewed, providing reliable data to the team.

• Edge Alignment Photocells for Even Roll Winding 
  Edge alignment photocells monitor and correct the fabric edge position continuously throughout rewinding, ensuring the output roll winds evenly.

• Ergonomic Operation — Controls at Hand and Automatic Stop
  All control switches face the operator directly, so every adjustment is made without turning away from the inspection surface or interrupting the review. When the fabric runs out, a photocell stops the machine automatically.

  When a fault is located, the operator stops the machine and registers the fault type with a single button press — the system records the fault type and position automatically. After the roll is reviewed, a printed report lists all registered faults with their positions, roll length, barcode, and identification data. Up to 99 fault types can be defined and up to 40 faults registered per roll. Quality reports can be printed, barcodes generated, and report formats tailored to supplier requirements or connected to the facility's ERP system — up to 20 label templates stored in memory for fast recall.

• Fabric Weighing System — Actual Weight Against Supplier Declaration
  Connected to the length measurement system, the weighing system registers the actual weight (grammage) of the inspected fabric roll — allowing verification against supplier-declared specifications.
